The Lakeshore Museum Center is not a building with dusty artifacts; history has come alive with interactive exhibits and the new Michigan’s Heritage Park. The branding development needed to embody the museum’s mission. The new brand and resulting sub-brands were then used throughout a mobile-friendly website, advertising and trade show materials.
The new name and brand encompassed a new attitude representing the museum’s mission to preserve and interpret the natural history of Muskegon County.
In addition to the main museum’s logo, we created sub brands for the new Michigan’s Heritage Park, The Scolnik House of the Depression Era, Fire Barn Museum, and the Hackley & Hume Historic Site. We now promote the new brand through advertising in regional publications, exhibit campaigns, trade show materials, and their annual event, The Lumber Barons’ Ball.
Through a strategic site mapping and creative process, the new website features dedicated pages to the four historic sites, updated educational programs, and created calls to action for involvement as a volunteer or donor.
